Why did I choose to study food engineering?
Hello everyone, in this blog I will tell you why I chose to study food engineering.
Since I was little I have been a very curious person, I always got into trouble since I liked to experiment with everything that happened in front of my eyes, for example, when I was 5 years old I liked to break my toys to find a solution and be able to repair them When I was 11 years old, curiosity got the better of me and I lifted the valve of a pressure cooker which exploded and spilled all the contents that were inside it. Thanks to these and other stories, I realized that I liked to carry out experiments and find out why they happened, which is why science has always been my favorite area.
In the last years of school I wanted to study medical technology because my idea was to be locked in a laboratory analyzing samples and giving results. I lost my enthusiasm for studying this career 3 years ago when at school I had to choose an elective or a professional technician, at that time I wanted to take gastronomy because I love to cook but my family and my teachers did not support me in this decision since they said that my thing was science. Finally I took the scientific elective, in which although I was doing well I was not very happy, the last year while I was looking for a career that mixed science and food appeared ... food engineering. After looking for all the details about the graduation profile and the University, I decided that this was the perfect career for me.
Despite the fact that my first year of University is online, I try to see the positive side and so far I have had good experiences, either meeting classmates by video call or doing my first university jobs.
If you made it this far, I appreciate you taking your time reading this blog. :)

Checked. Not a problem, it has been a nice experience reading your thoughts
